FAQs

Who can exhibit at your gallery?
We welcome emerging, established and independent artists, curators, performers, designers, and creatives from all backgrounds, mediums, and stages in their practice. Whether you work in traditional or non-traditional forms, including experimental or interdisciplinary practices, we’re excited to see what you do.

Do you accept solo exhibitions/artists?

We happily accept applications from solo artists. This year our focus is on collaborative and shared exhibitions, so we’ll be prioritising artists who are open to working with others and building a show together.

That said, we are still open to solo exhibition proposals where the project strongly aligns with our space and program, or where the concept genuinely depends on being presented as a solo show.

Do I need to be a professional artist to apply?
While we welcome artists at all stages of their career, we do require that applicants submit a strong portfolio and high-quality documentation of their work. We’re looking for work that is well-executed and thoughtfully presented.

What types of work do you accept?
We’re open to a broad range of mediums, from traditional forms like painting, printmaking, and sculpture to non-traditional and experimental works such as time-based art, participatory art, video, performance, and interactive installations. We value art that offers alternative perspectives, challenges conventions, and invites engagement or dialogue.

Is there a submission fee?
No. We don’t charge artists to apply or exhibit. We believe in removing as many barriers as possible for creatives to share their work.

Do you take commission on sales?
Yes, we take a small commission to help cover running costs (20%). Full details are shared upon acceptance.

Do you provide installation or curatorial support?
Yes. We work closely with artists to install, catalogue and promote their work. We can also assist with writing statements, pricing and event planning.

How long do exhibitions run?
Most shows run 3 weeks, with an opening night and optional artist talk or event.

Can I sell my work during the show?
Yes. We’ll help you handle sales and inquiries throughout the exhibition period.

Can I paint or modify the gallery walls for my exhibition?
No, painting the walls is not permitted. We are currently using the original red brick walls as part of the gallery’s aesthetic. However artists are permitted (and encouraged) to use creative ways to alter the space, including building temporary walls/screens and structures to realise their idea.

What accessibility features are available in the space?

There is a small step at the front entrance of the gallery (15cm). The toilets are on ground level but are currently too small to be considered fully accessible. Our closest accessible toilet is at Moreland train Station (250m away).

We’re committed to improving accessibility and welcome suggestions. If there are specific features or support you need when visiting, please get in touch—we’ll do our best to accommodate.
