About the space

Shivers Gallery is open to expressions of interest for 2027.

The Shivers team is pivoting towards some other Gallery and bookshop projects for next year so we’re putting our annual application process on hold. That means we have a few months usually reserved for the in-house program available for a creative professional or collective to run an entire public-facing project.

What are we looking for?

  • Artist or creative collectives

  • Curators

  • Workshop

  • Public programs

  • Program managers

  • Pop-up shops

Program managers, curators, artistic or creative collectives who want the space and time to see an entire public-facing project come to light. It could be an exhibition or exhibition series, workshops, a pop up shop, a combination of those things or something else entirely!

We prefer to offer the space for between one and three months and offer heavily subsidised rates for the right project.

EOI closes 1st December.

We will close the call out on December 1st, but will review applications on a rolling basis so please get in touch if you want to have a chat.

About the space

SHIVERS invites curators, artists, artist collectives, filmmakers, designers, and performers to apply to exhibit in 2026. We welcome all mediums.

Selected exhibitions will run for approximately three weeks between July and November 2026.

You may apply with either:

  • an exhibition concept, or

  • a proposal that showcases your individual practice.

While we accept solo proposals, we are more likely to recommend that individual artists exhibit with at least one other artist and/or work with a curator.

There is no fee to apply or exhibit.
Selected artists and curators will receive a small artist fee.

If selected, we ask that you attend the gallery at least one day per week during your exhibition.

Please review About the Space & FAQs before submitting. Artists are also invited to consider the street-facing window space in their proposals.
